1990 accord

I know some of you got accords on here... so lets here opinions...

I really really need/want a job at college; I want to be able to afford fun activities (beer) and stuff for the Z, but if I don't have a flow of income, I can' t do this without cutting into my savings; something I'd rather not do. I've considered being a delivery driver; not neccesarily pizzas, maybe some other form of delivery, but I have yet to decide which. I don't want to rack up the miles in the Z delivering stuff, so I've once again considered buying a second car to handle the workload of driving a lot. Long and short of it, I've found a car that looks like it will fit the bill... and have attatched a link. What are some opinions and common gremlins/complaints and things to look for when buying a 1990 accord. Thanks for your help...

Hmmm...no listed amenities or mileage. I'd guess it's a pretty high mileage car with few options. But hey...if it gets the job done then go for it. I'd be sure to get the mileage on it though...I'll bet it's pretty damn high.

kinda hard to tell from that pic but the car looks like an ex (top of the line) for me. they are great cars but they have their quircks: balljoints tend to go bad on it, andyou might run into some braking prboblems: master cylinder, but other than that the car will go a long way, i have seen them with 450k miles on them, and they tend to average more than 230k miles on a single engine. also a new lx motor for it can be had for under 250 with relatively low mileage. the best part about the car is that it can take the abuse. for $1000 the car is a good deal

well I tried to call the guy today (he is located in atlanta). Based on his voice on his answering machine, I have decided to NOT buy it from him. I don't mean to sound racist here, but I have made the decision based on my experiences with cars owned by a similar group of people. He sounded like a very uneducated black man. Every older car I've EVER looked at owned by an uneducated black man has had a tornup interior and has smelled like shit, and I don't feel like asking him if the car smells bad and don't want to drive to Atlanta to find out for myself... back to the search.
