Autometer Tachs?
Have any of you got, or had Autometer tachs?
Are they easy to install, are they good? do you have anyother aftermarket tachs, or any other suggestions! I am looking a getting the Monster 5" Shift light Tach are they any good. Please anyother comments would be appreciated "i really need a tach!" |

i dont know what year civic you have but you can get an ex gauge with the tach on there for fairly cheap on ebay and at a local junk yard.its a simple unplug the old and plug in the new and you are done.

Here in Australia, Autometer gauges are the best to buy... none of the fancy changing color ones you guys can get (tho I would love to get my hands on a couple of R1 gauges and Tacho).
Every tryhard has one, even though their car is stock as a rock. Oh of track a bit, I would recommend them, very reliable, adjustable sensitivity, and adjustable shift warning light, Max RPM button, and they look mad (The phantom range). |

If you are putting a tach in a 2001 -2002 civic, you have to wire it in a little different cause there is no distibutor. There is a blue wire between you battery and fender that is made just for tachs. With your tach wire to that and the rest is the same, your ground and wires for the light...

I have the autometer % Sport Comp Silver face tach in my ride and I love it..Autometer is a god reputable company w/ many yrs of making guages.
You cna go w/ other brands for maybe smaller face tachs etc but I personally like and recommend Autometer. |
