Greetings, A hopful future prelude owner seeking advice, opinions...
Hello all.
I'm a recent college graduate who's finally gotten him self a job. I'm currently paying off some debt that I owe, but come febuary I'm hoping to purchase my first car... The top of my list is a recent model Prelude. I've done some research, and even test drove a 98 non-SH stick shift, and found it quite enjoyable to drive... well, to be short, I'm looking for any advice, opionions, thoughts, comments, ideas, and etc you can think of regarding your experiance with the Prelude. I'm a big fan of honda, and am attracted to the prelude because of it's sport package, (Especialy the SH model) and the sheer reliablity of the Honda name. Thanks! |

the prelude is a very good base to modify and it has the trademark honda durability, the prelude is a very good choice...good luck in your quest for a car.

what kinda info were you lookin for exactly!?!?
i mean yes the preludes are VERY good cars, very reliable, very powerful, and look good as well. They handle great, ride great and everything like that. i dont know a lot about the 5th gen's, i own a 4th gen.. so i cant give you all the spec's on it. but im sure if you have specific questions, everyone here will put in there .02 on it.. or even help look up info for ya There are lots of aftermarket parts for the 5th gen, rather then the 4th gen. So you will find a lot more mod's for your car easier then most 4th gen owners will. Get the prelude.. just dont put a huge wing on it.. and you will be a damn good lookin car on the road!!! :: |

Hi!
Welcome to HS. ------------------------------------------------- A close friend of mine has a 2k1 lude.. I have driven it many times. I totally love that car. Feels like an Accord, but with the upgrades. Though, I'd much prefer have a 96-97 Accord with all the upgrades. Back to the lude, not very spacious, but if you dont need the space, who cares. Dont expect setting any 1/4 mile records either. I like the car very much.

well the lude is a all around good car, it handles and its fast, you get the h22a4 engine, a very nice engine, it has the most power out of any honda 4 cyl. a 98 has 195hp i belive. i promise you you will not regret owning a prelude, its a great car and i know every lude owner i know dosnt regret their purchase unless they are trying for new 1/4 mile times or soemthing. you can get to 12's in a lude, but thats about it.

That Hp number is correct. However about havin the most hp out of 4cyl Honda engines.. That would go to the S2000. Just wanted to clarify.

Hey guys.. Lets not forget the fact that when people go on this board to get base info on there cars also.. Its not like they go to this board means that there car Must or WILL be modified..
But stock form.. It is a very great and reliable car.. Very beautifully designed with something different in mind.. Handling is awesome and is as you can say.. Rare, Out of all those integras and civics you see out there.. Soo good luckl! |
