i have a mt. bike. but no mountains. i ride it threw the sand every now and then but that sucks. i found a hill once, but its only about 15 ft. high. jumps are about the only thing entertaining on it, but thats what bmx bikes are for

sweeet! biking is awesome, especially when your riding down a trail real fast and your arm swipes a cactus, thats always fun. getting a flat on the trail kinda sucks though. so does seeing a mountain lion across the way.
here's mine: |

Very cool!
From personal experince make sure your bike is washed where it hits the straps on your bones bike rack. While driving the bike tends to move a little and can often wear out the paint on the frame. Also always wipe the pads/car down where the two meet. Enjoy your biking. It's alot of fun, one of my favorite activities. |

It's a good bike, I'd say middle of the road. YOu can always buy better, it just becomes a function of how much you want to spend. I'd ride this one until you want a new bike, dont get caught up on upgrading components on this bike; it wont be worth it. When you're tired of it, or the bike is just dead from all the riding. Keep it as a beater bike and buy something to replace it. |

well so far i am not too pleased with the seat, kinda hard on my ass it's will make it sore (i just fucked myself with this one). seems like it is a bit too narrow and too stiff. i will see what i can get, and also i might try to pump some air into the shocks.

You take it off any sweet jumps?
Here's mine: Only I've added some mud clumps & dirt to it. Most mtn bikes have hard seat. You don't sit on it that much on the trails.

Saddles are always a tough call. If you dont do much riding its hard to say because your butt has to get used to riding. ONce you're pased the initial 'pain' of riding you can start trying new saddles. Most saddles that come with bikes suck. |
