Need help with my system . . .

I am planning to purchase my system. I wanna redo every speaker in my car. I know I for sure wanna start off with 2 10 diamond audio IDX or something of that type. I dunno shit about the rest. What are your suggestions, from amps to speakers. I also don't wanna spend over 2g's. Thanks.

2K, start to finish? I'd get a Pioneer Premier deck with a MOSFET power supply and internal crossovers. I'd skip a 4 channel amp for now, and come back to it when you have money.

Speakers are personal. Go get what sounds best to you, but make sure you listen to them yourself. What someone else may like may sound awful to you.

Subs are the same way- get what sounds best to you and is best suited to your taste. Overload the SOB with a ton of power, and turn down the gains so it's good, clean power. You'll get deeper, cleaner, tighter response, and it'll be better for the drivers.

For the most part, amps is amps. Obviously, some are better than others. You get what you pay for.

speakers are the single most important part of your system. if you get cheap speakers, you'll get cheap sound, and they probably won't last that long either. i'd say pick out your speakers first and then use the money you have left to determine how much to spend on amps and cd player. by the way, i don't recommend sony cd players. i like sony amps, but that's it. i don't like their speakers, subs, head units or changers.
