2dr/4dr exhaust compatability

i have a 92 Civic LX and like many others with 5th gen civics that i know, i need to replace my exhaust system from the cat-back. i figured i might as well get a performance exhaust and do it myself instead of paying through the a__ for midas to do it. i found a complete cat-back exhaust system for 159.00 at summitracing.com. it is a Monza pacesetter. it says that it is for 92-95 coupes 1.5 or 1.6 liter. i heard that this would work from a couple sources but i called a honda dealer today that said it wouldn't. if anyone knows about similarities in the 2dr and 4dr exhaust systems please let me know.

thanks for your help

Sean

From what I've seen the mid section etc from a coupe will work on a 4dr....

the thing that I would say though is that getting the Pacesetter exhaust because it's cheap isn;t the way to go. I got one and it was the worst POS I've ever spent my $ on for my ride. I spent about the same and ended up 5months later spending real $ for a Quality cat back exhaust.

Also this was for a 93 DX Sedan....

thanks for replying. i'm glad to hear from someone who has actually done what i want to do.

i understand that the pacesetter is in no way a "good" exhaust system but here's my explanation. i don't want to spend alot on upgrades because i don't plan on keeping the car that long, but i need a new exhaust because there is a blowout on the stock muffler and the center pipe is rusting away. i priced the parts at a fleet and farm store (might be a midwest thing) and that total was around 120. so i figure that the pacesetter must be better than those but still in my price range.

when you say POS do you mean it sounded bad, or was of poor quality material wise
i don't really want a "performance exhaust" sound
i care more about the stereo i have inside

thanks again for the response
if it's not too much trouble for you to clarify i would appreciate it alot
