???? bout 88 crx and 86 crx...parts interchangeble

Not sure if I posted this, but will the hood from a 1988-89 rex fit the car off a 1986 Si without having to do a lot of fab or mod to it?

Also, would the bumper off a body kit made to fit the 88-89 fit well on an 86 Si or would a LOT of fab'n have to be done to it for it to work?>

Thanks all.

ANything can be made to fit.

We both have Mugen lips for 5th gen civic's on our del sol's.

Okay, that does make sense, and I know you can mod anything to any car...and I thank you for the post respone.
What I wanted to know was if stuff like the Hood would bolt right up to the same car, an 88 hood to an 86 car by taking off the devider piece.
Thanks again.

I'm not too sure. My guess would be no. Only for the reason that the 86's and the 88's body's were changed a little bit. Kind of like a 95 to 96 civic.
Never hurts to try though.

I don't have a clue.
But if I were you I would get rid of the 86 and get the 88. There's more aftermarket shit for the 88.

i doubt the hood will fit. the 86 seems a lot smaller than then 88-91. i'm talking about 2" in width.

Well the reason I have an 86 first gen and not an 88 sec gen is cause EVERYONE has a sec gen, how can you be org when everyone else is doing it?
I found a guy to help me with the CF hood issue. He lays CF himself and we are going to fab it from my org hood so it will fit perfect. Wish me luck, first time working with CF.
