Center Console Problems?
I have a 89 civic hb and my brother says there is no room for a center console. Will I have to make my own or is there any way to get one to fit because it looks shitty not having a console because the shifter is just sitting there and shit.

If you went to the wreckers you could pick one up super cheap. Or if you wanted to be creative you could make one fit like pdigg said. It might only take some custom brakets and some bending. But check the wreckers, I always see you gen civics there.

^^boy, I wish I lived close to YOUR junkyards... You have plenty of options besides making one from scratch. All of your options will involve scrounging junkyards for the parts, though. I'm not sure, but I think most DX's had center consoles, and I'm sure all Si's do. All you will need to do is take everything including shift boot, and custom mount some brackets for it to hold onto. probably some L brackets from Lowe's would work. A friend of mine got a center console from an integra (not sure on year) and put it in his 4th gen STD hatch. He had to do some cuttin and gluin, but it was in there. try this how-to on for size: http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/ho...ket-Custom.htm |

If you have the money, I would have a professional custom make one for you (that way it's sure to be a good fit and not fall apart on you), but it's always fun to do it yourself!
