Engine Swap / cheap or free mods
Whats a decent price for a used B18 out of a GSR? I am planning on that for a summer project for my civic and need to start looking at used engines. I am going to rebuild it for use with a turbo. Any helpful hints?
****Also I am looking for any cheap / free mods i can do on my 97 civic right now to gain a little faster time in the quater mile. |

GSR = 3,000 dollars
Free Mods = Put Ice on Motor Advance Timing Strip the Inside Out Remove A/C Remove Power Steering tighten the TB cable Cheap Mods = Buy a muffler and have a shop pipe it for you (cost a lil $$) Home-Made Intake (pcv piping with a filter) Short Shifter What position are you going for? Street Racer? Drag Racer? Show Car? |

Try the above link. Goes to many salvage yards all over the USA. I got set of 2001 Civic struts from on of these dealers for $125. I've seen some engines and engine parts listed. You can do a search on all the dealers. Hope this helps. |

ii've heard that pvc pinping can't withstand high temps of heat. might melt of ya even with the thermal wrapping.
