Ford SuperDuty F-250 Tritin V8
Hi Guys !!!
I had to come back and tell you all about today.. It was great I was Coming Home Today, Driving to a Stop Light, and theres a Kid in a New Used (he just bought it, temp tags, and still nice and shiny) Ford F-250 SuperDuty with that Tritin V8. Well he sees me and waves me on at the Light. . . And being a Nice Ricer I give him the Nod. I was completely expecting to Lose, but here a kid with his new truck driving around with his Girlfreind, so I figure I'll let him show off. After the turn lanes go I take my revs to about 3000. I had a pretty Crappy Launch, chirping for about 2 seconds. Once I got my Grip. I was Astonished, he was right there With me. Redline to Second, and Boom I'm Nosing Ahead !!! Red Line to Third, and I'm like 2 Cars Ahead !!! I got just far enough to hit the Hazards, at 80mph in a 55 then I slow down, I let him Pass me, and he gives me the "I dunno" look ... I just grinned. We stop at the Light, and I was Thinking... He must have a Diesel that why I beat him. But I asked Him and he said he wasn't running Diesel ! So I dunno.. I never Thought I could Took out a Huge V8 like that, even though it was Weighed down in that HUGE truck. But he was cool and it was a Good Kill... so I had a Great Day =) Hope all you regulars are doing well ... and the Newbies too... I'll try to keep ya posted and keep up with the boards !

actualy they shine in towing power. my friend had one and swore to me he could take me top end. i scratched my head and desided why not. 45-100 i won by a redicules amount 60-110 me by alot 50-100 me 35 to 90 me. hell i even did a 3rd gear pull from 40 to 95 and won. he bairly got me off the go cause 3rd dosnt pull hard for me there.

Heh. Those trucks are heavy as hell. They are about 235hp. Power to weight ratio just isn't there. But I bet he could out tow you.

In all honesty you shouldnt be surpirsed because you beat him. With the several factors to look at: Power to weight ratio favors you. Gearing favors you. Those geared for low end torque and towing power. Where as your car is geared to get the light weight body moving down the street. |
