No...unless you're really good with body fillers then it's just a bad idea. I've seen so many filler jobs come out looking, like ass it's not even funny.

Well that's not really "shaving". Shaving would be removing a body part and replacing it with filler eliminating it completely. You're talking about unglueing. When I pulled off my fender emblems to have some paint work done, I used some glue colvent, let it sit for a few minutes, then *very* gently removed them with a puddy knife

Haha...you think THAT'S me being an asshole? Far from it. And did I not put in my own $.02 about how to do it? I just don't see the point. I see all of these kids driving around without emblems on their cars and in some cases they've got wicked retarded body kits to the point you can't even tell who originally made the car. Why? Because they took their emblems off. If you don't want someone to know what you're driving, that's the best way to accomplish it.

The body kit is irrelevent. I would never in a million year pull any of the emblems off of my car. Why? Because they're part of the car. if you need to start pulling stuff off to make it look clean, then you should've bought a car that looked clean in the first place. So yeah...I will "go there".

Who gives a flying shit i agree with both gt and civicboy. In some cases i wouldn't shave the car but if u really want to do it. I did it cause my A broke of the maxima so i didnt want to use superglue to put it back in so i just shaved but again to each their own. I dunno how much sence this made cause i got a good buzz goin!

screw buying goo gone, go and buy some carb cleaner and spray it on a papertpwel once you have removed the major part of the emblems, rub the papertowel over the spot and it will remove the glue
