Hey all, yes I am a newbie

Hey everyone,
Yes I am new to this webposting thing, I like to read message boards, especially those at supercars.net. It's so funny reading messages by idiots arguing over import versus domestic. You guys seem to know quite a bit and I hope to learn a lot by joining here.

Anyway, I drive a white 1997 Honda Civic EX coupe. Let me see if I can get a picture here:

Wow that's big
She has about 53,000 miles now, I've had her for almost a year now (though it doesn't seem anywhere near that long). The only mods I have made so far are a Kenwood CD player, Kenwood mono sub amp, kicker 10" and an alarm system. The sound stuff my friend and I did and the alarm was by the good old boys at Tweeter.

Here's what I plan to do to my car this summer with the help of my friend (he's got a pretty quick eclipse):
cold air intake
pulleys
headers
exhaust
maybe rims, but probably not (too much $$) any ideas on getting a good set of nice rims for pretty cheap would be helpful. Also good brands for the parts would be helpful. Thanks for all the advice!

Welcome to HS Sounds like you have a good plan, and I'd start with an AEM CAI.

word to hanzer. hit tirerack.com to get a feel for rim prices for some reasonable brands - that's where I started, at least. ended up with some borbets for ~$100 apiece.

hey Welcome Aboard!

WORD OF ADVICE...

Do not buy from WHEELMAX ! they suck

I have a Set of brand New Civic HX wheels I can spare for $500 plus shippin !

I do agree watching ppl argue is the main highlight of my day sometime... although I do get caught up in a bit myself...

Well Happy Honda'ing
