.iso movie file
I have a copy of Hitchhiker's Guide that is a .iso file type.
I am able to load it on a few media players that I have (including win media player, core, even win classic) - video plays just fine, but there is no audio (the file does have it though - I can see the audio visually, on player's the spectrum analyzer [or whatever you call it]) Which codec do I need for this? |

iso is a disc image.
If its a DVD size iso (4+gb) : Use Alcohol120 or Daemon tools to mount it on a virtual drive.. Then play it using your favorite DVD player. I like winDVD. If its around 700mb : Mount it the same way, then go on that drive an play it like you normally would play an AVI (or similar) filetype.

I just use DVD Decrypter. It's free and a pretty powerful burning tool. I don't even bother with virtual drives...just burn the fucker and watch it on your TV.

Shit...I knew it was out of development, but I didn't know it'd be hard to get ahold of. Try this link:

umm, guys.. If the image file contains an AVI, then it probably wont play on a standard DVD player, unless it supports DIVX or other compressed formats..

I kinda thought of that...
Either way, it does play fine in my dvd player, so I guess it wasnt a compressed file. |

There's probably a program out there that would covert a .iso file to avi, but why would would you want to convert it? A .iso file is a perfect copy...avi files are compressed and lose quality.
