Who Has Dynamat?

Who here has put Dynamat in there car? I have opted for the cheaper generic version called FatMat [www.fatmat.com], and got a bulk pack of 100sq ft for $100. Who has installed their own? How hard was it? I am looking to do 4 doors, back deck, all trunk. I was considering the floor and ceiling if I could figure it out. Ideas? Its an '02 Civic sedan.

I have Dynamat....got it for cost where I use to work. 60% off retail (high mark up on that sh*t). It's easy to install. You'll need some kind of roller to flatten the sheets to the surface and a heat gun to warm up the material and the glue.

fatmat isnt generic..its exaclty the same as dynamat but since the compant isnt as huge the prices are better.....watch using a heat gun......specially on parts like quarter panels cause you can cause the pain on the outside to bubble and peel off......my suggestion is to go to autozone and get some ubndercoating spray..prolly 2 cans......spray the floor of your trunk with it....and maybe your quarter panels.....then cover everything in fatmat.....use a hair dryer.......and i just used an old paint roller with a plastic tube...some of um come like that and i bought a little plastic roller at lowes for like $0.98

Their instructions dont mention heat. Is it really necessary?

i used dynomat extreme on my trunk lid....it worked wonders....

it didnt say to use a heat source, and the guy told me its made so yyou dont have too, but i used a hair dryer anyways....it just made it that much easier....(its more plyable when warmed up) i did it all my hand, no rollers....looks nice (except for the fact that i must have been stoned, cuz i put it on upside down from when the trunk lid is open

it is cause that's what warms up the glue and helps the material form better.
