Possibly free H23 swap... Should I???

Well I guess I'm just surfing for some opinions...

I have a slightly modded d16z6 right now (intake, exhaust, header, cat, Lightweight Flywheel, and d16y8 intake manifold waiting to go on as well as a Zex/Comp cam and springs plus HG and ARP head studs)

I have been planning on going turbo prob. next summer or over the winter...

Engine has 206k miles on it but it runs GREAT.

The H23 is out of a friend of mines employee's car that he just wrecked. It's a 94 prelude SI. I think it's got like 109k miles with a newish timing belt and all normal maintanance...

I'm sure it's got higher Hp and DEF higher torque then my D16... but I'm frankly pretty content with d16 and the prospect of spengind around 1k to get the swap done kinda puts me off... but I could probobly swing it if I tried... and finishing my turbo project on the D will prob cost as much if not more... although it will prob end up with more HP/Trq...

End rant... begin comments.

don't do it...not worth it imo. heavier motor rated at 160hp non vtec. yeah it'll have more tq but with your build on your z6 i think you'll enjoy that more. actually now that i think about it, the even if its rated at 120ish for tq, it isn't worth it for the h23

For the amount of work, I cant really say I could justify an h23, torque or not.

well, depends on what your plans are. the H23 is a good turbo motor. better then the h22 and most B18 motors. if i were you i would buy the h23. not swap it. just buy in case the D blows up or doesnt work out. you still the h23 on hand if needed.

I got nowhere to keep an engine/trans for any kind of time... Maybe my buddies garage at his house but I doubt even that... That's a pretty large item to keep at someone's house...

I'm prob. just going to let it go... It would end up costing me a lot more to turbo than the D will and same goes for NA...

F'it... second free motor/trans I've turned down... G-demmit why can't anyone offer me a b18c5 for free???

you could do the swap and just not turbo it, it'd still be pretty quick. mmm, n/a torque. you could even do a h22 head swap later on.
