weak spark

lately the accord started acting up again. i checked the plus and they looked fine except they were soaked in gas. i checked the cap and rotor and they look fine too. also i checked for spark and there is a spaek, but it is very weak. any ideas what could it be ? i am reaching the end of my nerves with this problem.

Check your coil. If the spark is weak, it may be your coil.

yeah, i checked the coil and it failed the test. i tried replacing it with an aftermarket one and starts only when it wants to (e.g. when it's above 60 outside)

well i like to think it's fixed now but god knows. the center wire was about 2.5" ft long and i am sure that was the culprit. I shortened it today and it seems to run a lot better and quicker starts too. Also i will tighten the timing belt a bit, then change the fouled plugs from the days it refused to start.
