"Point & Shoot" Camera..I need one!

So, some of you probably know that I am leaving the country for in a few weeks. I have a digital camera but I don't think I want to bring it..I dunno why, I just don't. With that said, I need a regular camera that uses film. Now, I know nothing about cameras and I've done my share of Circuit City and eBay searches, but gosh damn it looks confusing. Can someone point me in the right direction of what exactly it is that I need? I really just want something compact, simple, good quality of course and I guess it'd be nice to have zoom. Oh, don't forget, I want it simple! Since I don't want to spend so much because chances are, I'll leave it in Vietnam for a relative to have anyway, I'll probably end up wanting to make the purchase on eBay. So yes, ayuda me!

I use an old Minolta SLR 35mm. so I know Minolta makes great cameras
this is a lower end minolta point-and-shoot type camera with a pretty good zoom(at 37.5mm-160mm)

now if you want a slightly better quality look into an SLR camera
here's a minolta for $179
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Minol...oductDetail.do

and then this pretty nice canon Rebel K2 for $200

my guess is you want something a bit cheaper but i wouldn't get anything real cheap like a point and shoot canon or olympus
imo the Minolta point and shoot is a good deal

but it depends on what you think you need

The first two you posted is in the price range I'm looking to spend on this. The second one is a little too large though. I'm gonna be going all over the place so I really want something small..that's why I was looking at Olympus Stylus cameras or something. Crappy? Someone on the had mentioned a Minolta camera, but I've never heard of it. Do these cameras have the auto. zoom or is it like a camcorder where you can adjust the zoom?
