What's the Hype about Pivoting Doors??

I was looking on Ebay and I saw that They had info on how to convert your doors into lamborgini/pivoting doors. Is this and easy thing to do? Would I need a body shop to do this? If so, how much do you guys think it will cost? Thanx

I personally wouldn't do it, but since you're interested...

You seem to not feel comfortable doing the work yourself. Easiest way to find an answer is to get on the phone with a body shop, or better yet, just go down and talk to them. They'll let you know how much it will be.

there is a kit on the market for about $1500 thay clam no drilling and the install is about 2 hours (if I run across the web site again I saw it on I will post it) I have heard that once you do this mod you will have problems getting your doors to seal.

the decah kit.....doesnt need any cutting or drilling, however you have to be very precise in your work otherwise as was said, the doors will not be aligned properly and/or you wont get a proper seal when they close - if they even close.

having this done at a body shop in a way that is usually done (cutting/welding) will cost you an arm and a leg. probably about $3000+

there is no "hype". its just something to do.

www.decah.net

But it is only available for the 96 up civic.

I am currently working on the conversion for my car. If everything works, I will post how it was done.
