About my car..
I'm not going to lie.. I know jackshit about my car... I was just wondering on a few things about it.. What's the exact engine code of it? It's a 99 GS.. and how would I go about getting vtec on it? Is it swapping the head? I've been looking forward to this summer alot because I'm finally turning 18 in a few days here so I can get a REAL job instead of barely paying the car bill every week.. Thanks for any info!

well the block code is B18B and swaping a vtec head on it is not as easy as it looks.
just boost your B18b.

As for the vtec conversion, I know you post and all and I don't want to be 'anyl' but try the search section. I know I've posted a few posts about what is needed and I ams ure there are other that have been posted throughout the years. Take a look into some of those and then when you have additional questions (which is you should) ask us some specific ones.

You cant miss that engine code man it's at the front of the block. LSVTEC is pretty easy. Just make sure you do it right. Get the kit from Golden Eagle to save you some hassle.

ok a few more questions.. what size is my gasket? and if I do the vtec conversion would I have to buy GSR parts or would I still be buying LS parts? or would it depend on what the part is?

look at that golden eagle website.. are their turbo kits any good? 'cause if I can get a decent turbo for under a grand that's definately something I'd be doing to my car.. I just thought it was way more expensive for some reason

Yea, I read it wrong, sue me :( I was just looking down the page and saw "LS 94-up" and the price under a grand.. never bothered looking at the text before it till a few days after.. then I was too embarassed to correct myself
ps. another thing I feel stupid about is it's actually a LS, not a GS.. I found that out last week or so looking in my door jam
