I was going to get the Skunk2s until I saw the spring rates on them- 300 lb/in front and 400 lb/in in the rear. Friggin stiff! Great for launching, but bad for potholes. My buddy has them on his H22 Civic- that thing bounces like mad over bumps, but his launches are great!

Skunk 2's are way to bouncy. I have heard nothing but negative things about them. I am going with eibach prokit with some koni's.

well, to each his own! I guess it depends on what kinda car you have (weight) and what type of roads you drive on. They are not eibachs...thats for sure, but they are fine for me

You think those spring rates are bad check out their drag launch kits. I can stand on the spring and jump on it and they dont move at all.

Spring rates for skunk2 coilovers are pretty stiff as is- No kidding, as if 400 lb/in wasn't stiff enough enough, their drag kit checks in at 900 lb/in. Imagine rolling that on a DD! Fortunately, it's designed so that all you have to do is swap out the rear springs- awesome idea. As for body roll- if it's that important to you, spend the $250 on sway bars- it'll make all the difference in the world, guaranteed. |
