d4 intermittent blinking
Hello,
I have a 92 honda accord ex wagon. My symptoms are as follows: -occasionally, the car will not start and I see the d4 light blinking rapidly; if I wait for about 10 minutes, the car will start normally -sometimes, the car will start but the d4 light steadily blinks slowly. In this case, I can drive the car but the car runs very sluggishly. My mechanic retrieved the following codes: 1-2-7-8 corresponding the number of blinks. I have since then replaced my old 28100-PX0-A21 with a rebuilt 28100-PX0-A22 tcm which I paid $200 for. I did this because I noticed that some capacitors were starting to leak. According to my local Honda dealer, this model A22 supersedes the A21 model. I thought this solved my problem but last night the same thing happened again! Obviously there is something else wrong. Any help will be appreciated. |

Is it expensive to replace these shift and lockup solenoids?
If not, is it advisable just to change them all of them? |
