Like a Virgin
This is my first time on a Honda Forum so go slow...its my second time owning a Honda.. I had a 95 White MTX Prelude that was my baby but my boyfriend crashed it, driving me home when I was drunk (had that car for a month and a half). THEN I had a Ford Probe (ewww!) had nothing but car trouble with that!! Now I have a 94 Black MTX Civic that I love!! I hope to get feedback from all you and maybe even help you guys out. -Julie:P

I was going to get a Prelude but I needed a car fast, so I bought the Civic at a steal of a price. And then.. a week later I went back and the guy had a 95 Prelude STICK in Midnight Blue for $7800. Ugggh! I was so mad! I went in to trade it but he was only going to give me $3400 for the Civic.. what a hoax!

With taxes and new plates and all the good stuff that comes with buying a car it cost me almost $6K.. One thing I dont like about Preludes is the dash/console is just too simple. No offense to anyone with one but thats just my opinion.

Yes 6 is steep for a 94 thats going to need a new engine soon. Speaking of which do you think its wrong if when I change my engine to an SI engine with 32k on it I should change the odometer.. I mean the odometer does say how many miles are on the engine.

hmm well what are your plans for the car?
you want to go turbo? sc? nitrous? and if you want to go turbo, are you planning to build up the motor or just leave it for a while? heres what i suggest for diff. engines. of course this is just me and im a loser :P B16A: eh.....i dont suggest this motor unless going build up and turbo. if you have it and dont want turbo, i suggest a Vortech SC. B16B: mmmm, NA is the way to stay! B18B: turbo! 13psi on STOCK internals!!!!!!!!!! very nice but not too enjoyable if staying naturally aspirated. B18C1: hmm, very fun engine.....NA or FI build up will most likely net you impressive gains with the correct mods. B18C5: hmm....for the price, i suggest a B18C1 unless of course you have oodles to mod with. but this engine is so beautiful NA. H22A: this thing is insane crazy.....no fun for hauling ass around turns. i do not suggest it and then of course theres the crvtec and lsvtec stuff but.....hehe i dunno what you want from the motor..... |

DOHC noTEC integra engine will probably run about $2200 for a NEWER one. which would be OBDII......but if you wanna stay OBDI then you'll need a 95 or older engine. also it'll be a bit cheaper that way but may have more miles. email me and i can get you a quote on the b18 if youd like so you can get an idea of about how much itd run you.
just say in it what exactly you want. hybrid3do0rcx@earthlink.net |

Honestly I don't know what I want.. I just want driving my car to feel good. I wanna be able to get some speed. But I don't car too much about 1/4 mile and all that but I do wanna be able to kick some ass as I'm driving along and some moron wants to race me. Also I would like to have some gas money so my mod's can't be that high in price. I need to do a little at a time so basically I dunno what I want for an engine. I'm just :crazy

MY suggestion is a B18C1 in that case. its a nice platform to start with and you will be able to beat quite a few cars with the swap. it responds well to mods so even building it up a little at a time will give you some benefits. that engine will run you about $3300 for a newer one with under 32k miles. entire swap.
