Wheels
[font=times new roman][color=deeppink][b][i] Hi, I'm new here and need some help. I have a 99 Honda Civic LX with 17s on it. I keep hearing this rumbling noise in my front tire on the driver's side. My friend thought that the tires needed to be rotated and if that didn't work, then the wheel bearing needed to be replaced. I had my tires rotated still hear the noise. I got my wheel bearing replaced and still hear the noise. I am asking you guys, what else could be going on?

well it could be rubbing on the fender well, you could have something in the tire, you could have something rubbing on the rotor, something rubbing on the axle, a bad cv joint (though it would tend to 'click' instead then), maybe your tires arent aligned right, could be that your tires are just noise-makers - road noise...could be lots of other things too.
How sure are you that its in the front? Are you just changing things willy-nilly w/o having a trained tech take a look at it? Thats a good way to waste money. Most good suspension shops will not charge you anything if they cant find anything wrong. You wouldve saved yourself a lot of money, time, and anguish. |
