best equipment?
im in the prosess of buying a turbo i hope, i want to do custom or call turbonetics in miami and get something worked out, what would be the best exaust manifold and wastegate to go with? im kinda set on a garrett t3/t04 turbo, ive herd good things about them, also anyone know of a good, strong head gasket to buy in order to drop my compression on a h22a1? who makes the best fitting front mount intercooler for a 94 prelude vtec? thanx for any help from anyone.

this would be my choices:
exhaust manifold= revhard wastegate= delta (some peeps don't like, but i do) intercooler= starion (from the junkyard, cost about $50-100) or spearco if u want a new one. head gasket= i'll have to check with my friend. he was doing an extensive research on one, awhile back. i'll get back with u tho. since you're in the process of going custom set-up anyway, it's just a lot cheaper to get a used starion I/C. it's a decent size man. it can cover the whole front of a 99-00 civic bumper. my frien has a custom T3/T04 also on his civic. it sounds awesome! |

I run a Deltagate but the Tial wastegate is great. One of the great things about it is the availability of the sizes. The are available from 35mm to over 40mm so you can get one that is the right size for your application. As for the headgasket id just go stock. All the major manufactures are going to offer a similar cast "log" style manifold that will have similar results. An oversized Spearco would be great but a Starion intercooler will work.

the reason i want a thicker head gasket is ive got a prelude(h22) thats got 10:1 compression, its asking for problems if i cant bring it down, im gonna look into low compression pistons, either 8:1 or 8.5:1 before i go above 9 psi. also can someone give me a price range of the cost of all this considering i get that intercooler from the junkyard? btw what type of car is it off of?

Alot of people use the intercooler off the starion or the conquest. People get em really cheap too. Only downside to it is that they tend not to look too good. ANd i like my Sh7T to look good. BUt then u do save like 500 bucks. So tell us how it goes. ANd takes some pictures if possible. I wanna see how it looks. SHit I wanna save money too.

Dont worry about the 10:1 cr unless you plan to really be boosting hard. Anything under 15 psi dont worry at all about it. A little bit of tuning and youll be fine.
