What products do you use to wash/wax/etc. your car?
Hey guys, just trying to get some more posting in the Accord forum... so...
What products do you use to wash, wax, etc. I use Meguiars showroom glaze, hi-tec wax, clay bar, etc. Pretty much all Meguirs for me.

Used to use Turtle wax.. ::
Now I stick to Meguiars! Not even in the same league.. Worth the few extra bucks. ::

Well, it really depends. For washing I use either Mequiars or Eagle One. For wax, I do a two step process. I use Finish First, and then top that with a Mequiars wax. If I am in a hurry, I will simply use Zymol.

I am a professional detailer so I have an advantage of non AutoZone supplies. Mequiars is probably some of the best stuff you can get off the shelf but DemonicAccord has it right; you have to get some Klasse! That stuff is soooooo great! www.properautocare.com is a good place to get detailing stuff right now. A new product called Blackfire just came out in November and it is better than Zaino, better than Klasse, and sure as hell better than Meguiars. This is hands down the very best stuff you can put on your car.
I have a white Integra with about 12 coats of Klasse and 8 coats of Pinnacle ivory carnuba on it. When it is clean you could go snow blind looking at it if its in the sunlight. My 99 Accord is that champange color and it looks almost as good with 5 coats of Klasse and 3 of the carnuba. I spend more time with the Integra so it gets treated more. If I was to use anything off the shelf it would be the Meguiars 3 stage wax job toped off with 2 coats of Meguiars Gold Class. Then it might shine as well as my car with 1 layer of Klasse. You should really check out www.properautocare.com and see what you like. It is gooooooood stuff. |

ohh yeah i use water from the hose and some 3M wax. For glass and vinyl i use eagle 2020. it leaves windows so clean you actually forget you have them. No glare either.
