scratch
well after my accident i realized any all future car plans have been destroyied and i can start over. this could be good in a way. but i do miss the civic and being able to drive.
no more saving for faster engine or mods. so i looked into my bank account and estimated the amout ill get from insurance claim. roughly 6-6.5K. so i havve to decided what to get next. i want a car between 92-98 low miles and in good condition. i dont want another civic/accord. i was thinking of a MR2 or Prelude. anyways what would you do. keep in mind i also have to spend 2.5K on paying the loan off. |

ok so say 6k - the 2.5k and youre left with 3.5
not a lot, unfortunately, unless you go with another loan of a few grand. I still say mr2....240 if you can find one |

why would they give you 6k for a 1993 civic? my guess would be 3.5 to 4k, hopefully i'm wrong though.

Your engine swap and mods are recognized by the insurance company?

the claim adjuster figures the amount based upon the local market value of the vehicle. for example my s14 got me 7,300 according to the insurance company, that was the price that i paid for it when i had bought it, so technically i came out even.

wow. I dont know how your insurance companies work but most of the ones i know of if your car gets totaled by the other persone (assuming it wasnt your fault) then they give you half of the cars worth at that time. So by this figuring method your car would have had to been work 17,000 dollars...... maybe your insurance is different but if it does that i want to switch to yours

Since you put Honda aside, shit I'd go with an old school turbo supra or 2g DSM turbo.... But the 240 or MR2 is not a bad idea neither.....

I agree, the 240 is a great car. Can get one for cheap too. The generations are 89-93, 94-up. I like the FR alot. Also, the MR2 would be nice too. Either one of them.

the ccip i paid 160 month. i told them i was going to be modding the hell out of my car and i wanted it all cover so the custom stuff i purchased can and will be replaced if stolen or damaged. they pretty much used the insurance policy for old Domestic Classics.
i was damn happy i had that. i found a 94 GT Celica, 240 LE Liftback and a 93 MR2 Turbo in my area. all in the 5-6 Grand range. now to pick one and completely check it out. dont want to find out i have to pay to fix something in the first 6 months. if not covered in warrenty that is.
