Installed my new amplifier this weekend

Got it used on ebay for like 340 shipped. It's a JL Audio 450/4 "slash series"...

It's REALLY nice and damn loud too... I was concerned at first because it's either 125x2 front stereo or 300x1 bridged and 75x2 or 150x1 bridged rear.

Originally I have 100x2 going to the front and 200x1 going to the sub...

now it's 125x2 to the fronts and 150x1 to the rear... and it's MUCH louder than it was... clean power makes all the difference...

This is on 8yo front pioneer component speakers and a 14yo 12" 20 dollar subwoofer that's torn along the surround for like 8"...

I'm going to replace the speakers eventually and I have 100sqft of b-quiet ultimate on the way...

Cars really coming together... as long as you don't look at it. lol.

JL is nice stuff... I got a 300/4 powering my components and a 500/1 to my sub. What kind of speakers you looking at?

I'm thinking Infinity perfects for fronts and then that infinti perfect 12 that has those inserts so it works in lots of different boxes...

I'm not sure though... I might end up doing a bass tube... I had a 10" at one point that hit WAY harder and cleaner than any 12 I had heard... but it didn't do the deep stuff as well... So I'm not sure what I'm going to do... prob. the 12" since I already have a box.

I'm open to suggestions though on speakers... I dont' keep up on ANY of this stuff anymore... I used to but nowadays I'm working with 10 year old info.

JL is the shiznit for audio products. I'm still regretting selling my 3 12in JL subs I had in my old car.

Infinity perfects, eh? I'd say they're pretty good, it's what I've got in my car. Infinity perfect 6.1d fronts and rear with a 10.1d in the hatch and it is musically perfect... not the best for rap (still really good, just not boomy bass) but perfect for rock and any other type of music.
