Killed a Durango with 5.9L V8(245HP)
Since this is the kill stories section, I reluctantly raced my boss in his 2003 Durango. Well if ya don't know a thing about em, here's the specs: 4X4 SLT 5.9 V8 which is good for 245 HP. Has a K&N Air Intake. All that aside, we were at a red light. It turns green, and we both take off. We're even off the line, but for some reason, my shit keeps on pullin on the Durango. I hit 80 and we're still going, but now I'm only a car lengths ahead of him. Then we hit the hill, and I'm talkin a 45 degree incline and I gradually smoke his ass up the damn thing. I think I know the reason I won, the Durango has a shitty rear-end.

....on a car that has 100 more horses at least than you...he must not have really pushed it cause those trucks can tear accords apart without trying.
I'm alittle skeptical but in any case good kill |

Trust me, he pushed it as hard as he could. We sat down after work to have a few drinks, and all I heard was how pissed he was. Now he wants to mod his truck as much as he can, just so he can beat my ass. There will be another race.............

doesn't matter too much the K&N intake tho it helps a little his biggist problem is the 4x4 tons of "dead" weight due to front axle, extra driveshaft, and transfercase good kill anyways |

Dakota RT's have a lot better power to weight ratio then the Durango's though. I think it would be a race then.

The dakota's are something to be messed with but for a 5.9 its rather weak. Should be somewhere in the 300hps and just a little more for the tq factor.
