GRRrrr..static electricity.....
does any of you get that? i've been getting zapped lately each time i get out of my car. this also includes my passengers. it's starting to annoy me cuz sometimes it hurts when it's cold outside. not to mention the embarrassment at night time while getting out of my car in front of a club. so how do i get rid or minimize this?........

It used to happen to me each and every time I got out of the car. It has something to do with the seats in our cars. After a while you kinda get used to it.

Here's another idea.
Hold metal as you exit. So that the charges are instantly balanced, well atleast enough so that you dont get zapped by those nasty MICRO-VOLTS !!

I think this what happens.. theory # 3..
As you get out of the car, the friction between your ass and the seat charges you with protons.. So when you're actually out of the car, and you touch the handle (or metal on car) your electricity is discharged (equalized) on the ground (body) of your car.. Ok I confused myself there.. but it should be close to whats happening. ---------------------------------------- Wait and see, some nerd is gonna come in here trying to disprove all my theories..

You could spray everything down with downing it helps against static electricity.. We spray it on the floor at work, it does wanders.. And makes everything smell nice and clean.

I have seen that grounding strap on Subaru's. The owners always say they work great.
I find that if I am the passenger in a car, I get shocked. When I am driving, no shock. I am going to have to pay a team of top specialists to analyze the movements made as I exit cars from both sides for several months. Then after all data is collected they can come up with a way to get out of my car without getting shocked. |

An added bonus to the aluminum hat. It keeps Aliens from using electronic wavelength to probe your brain, and it keeps the government from being able to track you on satellite.

But the down side is it makes you easier to be clocked by radar by giving a super shiney surface for them to shoot off of.
