HID install

When you install HID lights... do you need a new housing or is it all just wiring?? Does it matter what car you have or is it all pretty universal applications?

HID's require the use of 2 bulbs in order to have both high and low beams... there is 1 company that has some sort of motor that moves the bulb in order to achieve a hi/lo effect...

They sell kits to put into your stock housings... however hid beam patterns are VERY different than normal filament bulbs'. So usually you end up with a crappy pattern but... search and I'm SURE you'll find them installed in a million different ways on civic.

also just for your info... they require a "ballast" as well as the bulbs... the ballast converts the voltage for the hid bulbs.

I swear to god they used to sell the same bulb and not advertise and it cost half as much... now they're expensive... I'm sure they're different but a buddy of mine used to order these sylvania bulbs that were WAY brighter than most and they cost the same as other bulbs.
