Ok..so I bought the Headers
Alright..so i bought the DC 4-2-1 two pieces header for my 97 Honda Accord LX Automatic..and damn..I took it to the shop and found out that I had one of those 3 bolts flange on converter...which will not fit the 2 bolts flange on the DC header.
So..i took it to the pro..and they said that it will cost about 150 to install the headers, cut and weld the 3 bolts flange so it could fit the 2 bolts flange on the DC header...so everything came out to be about 500 bucks to get this upgrade done. Am I doing the right thing people? Or is there a better way? Also you know how it is that the O2 Sensor will be relocated to the second piece of the header..one of the mechanic said that it will cause programming problem or something..well..I dunno..lets see how it goes. |

hiya, so the catalytic converter on your car is 3 bolt from the downpipe? this is what my underside looks like from the oem header downpipe to the cat... its two bolt. im pretty sure its the same for all 5th gens, when i installed my headers, it was pretty simple, 500$ sounds crazy since its also more than the header itself.

no i didn't get a header because my engine is crap so i am deciding between swapping the f22a1 in favor of a h22a or rebuild the engine with higher cr pistons and then turbo it.
