Is this true ?

recently i had problems with my car having the oil light come on at idle, so i talked to a few people and some of them mentioned that i might have worn rod bearings. i just don't seem to link it to the oil pressure problem that i have. can somebody enlighten me ?

Yes it could be the rod bearings. It could also be the oil pressure switch. Goto your local parts store and pick one up and swap them out. If you still get the light then it is your rod bearings. If it is the rod bearings, it really doesn't cost that much to change. I just had them done on my 89 Accord Hatch and it cost me like $200.

i found rod bearings for 100 federal mogul ones. i still can't relate why the light would come on because of the rod bearings
