Problem!!!!!!!!!
my civic was running very funny so i took it too the shop, and the answer is that, I NEED A NEW ENGINE, my 97 engine will not be able to hang with the kit, SO THANK EVERYBODY FOR YOU COMMENTS, NOW I HAVE TO FIND A NEW ENGINE, PS I LOVE HS TUNERS, LATER

you could upgrade to a b series or you could buy another y8 for very cheap

pistons are no good and i am burning too much oil, its ok i just have to find a engine that will fit the greddy kit

hmm well couldn't you just take your engine out, rebuild it (pistons, rods rings) and save a shitload more money and run more boost??

the pistons are no good!? usually pistons dont just go bad. pistons rings?

i have talk to the shop and they found me a 1998 ex w/ 28,000 miles, so i think i will go with the swap, at the same time i am getting a ACT clutch added when they start, thank you for you feed back

Id check on the price of that and then compare it to rebuild w/ beefier parts...take the smarter choice

they are selling it for 1000 w/ install and tuning, so its a good price,i really just want to run 5 to 7 psi, for now see how it feels if i like it then i will buy all the mods i need this winter then take to the next level

no, its not a good price
The motor you could get for 1/2 that and install it yourself in about a weekend (if youve never done it before) 5hrs if you have. If I were you Id seriously get different parts - ie pistons (if thats what is really needed) and just keep the engine thats already in there It would be less than $1k |
