honda newbie

Hey i'm new to honda's always wanted one and got a chance to snatch one for 100 bucks so i got it problem is is a 82 accord
someone contact me if they know an engine swap is possible, not loking to do anything extreme just a little more giddy up if you know what i mean and would like to know if its possible to convert to standard tranny? from auto, i know the clutch pedal may be hard to work out what what else would be needed to do it, i also have a 92 dsm with the 1.8 , someone through me some info please

trust me that's not the best deal you have made. the car is kind of old but hey if u are happy with it why not ? I really wouldn't messup with the tranny swap. how's the body on that thing ?

Welcome to HS. You just might have the oldest Accord on the board (not a bad thing). What kind of condition is it in?

it doesnt bother me that it is as old as is, it drives and thats all i need for now, the body is in great shape

my sister has an 82 accord with about 250,000 miles on it. its rock solid. with an accord that old im sure there are probly 5 total performance parts available for the original equipment so i wouldnt bother modifying it.

That's really cool that its in great shape. Older hondas in great shape are hard to come by.
