My accord Vs 1.8T

I was weaving in and out of traffic on my way home from the gym and I see this VW 1.8T flying around behind me trying to catch up to me through traffic. We finally catch a light together and he starts reving and I could hear his little turbo spool up as he reved. We took off from the light and I put a full car on him in first gear, As I hit 2nd he was at my bumper and I put a little space in between us when I shifted to 3rd but not much. I kept up til about 80 still in 3rd and decided to let off with him right at my bumper since it was a 35 but of course dude did a flyby and probably thought he beat me lol. Overall it was a good race and it probably came down to the driver since I beat him by so little.

the geekz0r (11:04:16 PM): so 2nd pulls like 1st in the 5speed, 3rd is like 2nd, etc.
PortugeeTex (11:04:26 PM): so whats 1st like then?
the geekz0r (11:04:49 PM): 1st is like hitting a cheeta in the ass with a tazer
PortugeeTex (11:04:53 PM): lmfao

what do you have done to your accord? i would think that that sorta kill would be soley driver because doesn't a 1.8 have around 180hp and 173 torque. I'm not saying that I don't beleive, but damn...thats about 35 more horse than an accord and 23 more pounds of torque. Great kill though

1.8T is a turbocharged 4 cylinder that has somewhere between 150-180hp i'm not sure but it wasn't the Vr6 edition.

My mods-I/H/E, racing clutch, short throw shifter, throttle rotor and a few others. My car is a 93 ex coupe with the 140hp f22a6.

I pretty much wasted him off the line like I do with most people that's why I was able to win. He was definitely close on my ass and the difference was the launch because he was able to catch up to my bumper and couldn't pull any further on me.

I was reading on a review that those cars suffer from bad turbo lag and are slow off the line. The guy did have a passenger in the car also.

No, I was telling shards that the V6's accords had 240 not the vw's. But yes they do have somewhat bad lag at first but after like 4k then they start to "zip" around
