Speeding up window motion..
The speed the windows roll up is so damn slow..
Do you have any tips/tricks to speed things up? Besides changing the motor..

Some people have told me to put dry silicone in the tracks, and some have even suggested graphite. I sprayed some (i think silicone) once and it helped for awhile for sure, but then went back to normal shortly. You could try taking apart the door, cleaning the tracks, etc. but that would be kind of a big project.
I'm sick of the slow windows too.

I tried those.. But like you said, they're temporary.
LoL I was thinking more along the lines of a small mod that I could do, to speed em up.. Especially the fronts.. Cause those are the ones the I use the most..

there was a huge post on PH about a year ago about this. Honda knew about the problem in 95. Interestingly the 96/7 have a slightly different track than 94/5, but only on the passenger side....hmmmmm. Short of replacing those parts in the door that the window actually contacts (can be done for about $60 for both fronts, call your local junkyard) I have no suggestions. I have just learned to reach over and pull

I'm telling ya. If I had some free time, I'd open it up, and figure out something to speed the hell out of it.. But time is quiet rare for me.. I hate school!! Sorry that wasnt very mature..

oh...
i thought i broke my power windows...clears that up. my passenger window rolls slower than my driverside. but my driver side is much slower than the rear ones (maybe cause they're shorter).

oh yeah, they also suck cause they delay me from getting out of the car quickly, you know, you turn off your engine and open the door and you forgot to close a window (or two) and you have to turn the car on and wait for the window to close, then leave..... they still suck. |

I definately have this problem. I just got a 97 Accord Lx and the driver side actually stops a couple of times while trying to roll it up. It sucks cause you pretty much have to roll them down daily....at the drive through, at a pay toll, talk to someone....the list goes on.
What's the best/longest lasting lubricant I should use on the tracks? Where exactly would I use this stuff? From the top of the opening? I'm at a lost there. Do I have to take apart the door panel? |

I used a silicone base grease..
I imply lubed the inside of the tracks.. It helped very much..
