Need some help.

Yesterday I put my car in the garage, and tried to take the key out of the ignition. But here's the problem there is no key lock, no pressure on the wheel, its in park, i can still start the car and run it fine, but when I try to turn it off it gets stuck in stage two of the ignition, meaning I can still play CD's and my headunit is still running, my alarm still arms,etc.... does anyone have any ideas of what i can do? I would just lock the key in and go about my business, but the car has no locks.... any ideas?

sounds like the key is getting old... shake your wheel back and forth while trying to get it out. i think its happened to me with an old key before

roflmao............stefan is right. i think he knows about my 2 experiences. one time i had a hair scrunchie stuck and it wouldnt fully engage in park, and the last time i had so much soda pop in there it wouldnt fully activate. slamming it from neutral to park should trigger teh sensor and allow you to pull teh key out.

Yeah i had the same problem on my integra during the winter time only (for some odd reason) the shifter was in park but the trigger wouldn't go back.
