haha that sucks... that scoop looks really cheap on there, just sitting on top of the hood

yeah thats what I thought, just wasnt sure and have never seen one close up... its dissapointing they didnt flush mount it into the hood...

I think he meant more like the mustang's scoop. They have a little depression .. that sort of channels air to the "scoop" (although i think the mustang's scoop is non-functional.)

nawww mustangs arnt funtional..... but thay can be if you drill holes in the lil grill thing over them, and cut holes in the hood...

scoop=plastic, hood=alumnium

and WHY would you want to build a hood for an STi and also for the WRX??

2 different sized scoops and FWIW that's my friends car.

Exactly what HondaTech627 is saying. The scoop is made to be easily interchangable (between WRX, STi, and aftermarket). If it were molded, you couldn't do that. I think it looks fine, unless you want to get into the nitty-gritty. Then again, if you want to comment on the looks of the WRX, I can think of alot of other things to bash on it (cough*bug-eyed headlights*cough).
