I am not 110% sure about this, but I believe that you will still have to have the muffler welded to the pipe (or have a flange welded onto the muffler). That universal muffler has no flange or fittings to bolt onto the pipes. Consider that it will be another $25 - $75 to get the muffler put onto the pipes...

Oh, and the pipes you selected has an inline "resonator" (like a 2nd muffler) so it won't be super loud... good choice.

What I did for my muffler... I got a universal muffler at my local performance shop. Took it to Midas, paid them $175. They took off the old piping (which was extremely narrow) from the cat. They fitted 2.25" pipes and the muffler on. It's relatively loud, but I'm happy with it. The only down side is that it's not "mendral bent".

yeah i i'm gonna take the setup to the local muffler shop and have them weld hinges onto the muffler. that shouldn't cost much...i dont need anything too special, soemthing that will improve performace but will also not cost an arm and a leg, so like lets say 350 for a custom cat-back...not bad i think, i dont care who makes the products...stainless steel is still stainless steel, no matter who makes it

I am not a materials expert, so, is there a difference between T-304 Cabron Steel and Stainless Steel? The piping you were looking out is carbon steel...

But in other news, I am going to the track tomorrow night. I'll post time slips when I get a chance, I hope/expect to be running about 15.90 @ 85mph. We'll see how things work out
