Where do you mount your jack stands?
After jacking up your car, where's the best place to put the jack stands?

I jack the car up by the front and back and put the jack stands under the sides.

Nope, my civic have a jack point in the front and rear.
I would guess the newer Accords would too, I dont know about the older one. I didnt even know they were there until I got my helms.

Jack points should be indicated in the owner's manual.
There are F/R jack points on the newer Accords. So correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you're saying that you use the little mount point strips that are under the side skirt where you place the trunk-included flat-tire-changing jack. That's what I figured. What kind of jack stands do you use? They all seem to have just big U's cut out of them and I figure the contact area would be pretty small and maybe prone to movement if the car's not perfectly level. I'd like to jack the whole car up, so I'd use blocks while jacking one end, but the other would be on stands. Should I expect to hear much creeking and stuff when jacking up the front? I've only partially jacked up the front (didn't get tires off the ground) but some sounds were pretty nasty..... b |

Yes, thats exactly how I do it.
My car creaks too, dont worry about it. I just use the typical jackstand with the big use notches in them, just make sure you have them centered youll be fine. I usually leave the jack under the front or rear too just to be a little extra careful.

usually jack up the car (on the front end) behind the whell...right on the joint (looks like a knob, not to be too technical, but i really dont remember what the hell its called) ive been told its an acceptable place to lift, then put the stands under the side lift lip.
the noises are all normal, just your suspension moving |
