In my Accord LX 1990, I've used castrol Synthec blend and it consumes oil and even under very hard sustained acceleration it smokes, switched to shell mineral oil in the same grade 20w50 and works fine as does Honda oil.
Has anyone tried other oils and can recommend somethig that has worked well with you? I'll like to try shell's synthetic blend, any experience on this? My wife has a 1989 LXi and runs perfect on castrol.
