How To Become a Moderator

Anyone interested in moderating a particular forum, here's a rundown on what you'll need to do/be aware of:
[list=1][*]Take a look at the forums on the main forums page. You'll also see a listing of who is moderating that forum. At this point, we are limiting moderators to 2 per forum (with some rare exceptions). A forum with less than 2 moderators would be one that is open for consideration.[*]Once you find a forum that you are interested in, fill out the application form link on the Main Forums page.[*] Following are a list of expectations for all moderators:[/list=1]

• In-depth knowledge of the topic to moderate.
• Available to check the boards on a daily basis (as daily as possible).
• Generate conversations when needed.
• Answer questions as able/needed.
• Immediate deletion of any rude or derrogatory posts.
• Redirection of posts to appropriate category as necessary.

You may also be asked to submit a sample of your writing style, topic knowledge and/or links to posts you've written.
