Uncertainty

Just trying to get some versatile opinions..... I've been dating my boyfriend for almost a year and a half. Things were great til he moved to my hometown, He put on some big macho front because he claimed people wouldnt like him if he didnt. He complains about everything, his job, where he stays (which is with my brother, and he never paid anything to stay there), And most of all we have been clashing on everything and arguing alot.I love him, but he wants to get married and I dont think he's ready and recently discovered im defintaly not ready. I just dont know how to tell him that I want to take a break or anything. Everytime i try he gets really offended and upset sometimes angry:o
