I'm running XP. As for USB vs. IDE...I just get really nervous opening up my case. I've done it for simple stuff like CD/DVD burners but never for anything involving the capabilities of the actual PC. Is an IDE unit just like plug and play?
As for the RAM, I'm often running several programs that are currently seriously slowing my shit down (sometimes). I don't remember how many slots I saw, but all of the ones I remember seeing were full. Product specs here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...me= c00009612
