in your relationship you said he left for another chick right? while you were in iraq right? im guessing with you gone and noone to comfort him he moved on. he wanted the attention you couldnt give him being so far away.
a manager at were i work cheated on her husbin who is also a manager where i work. becuase he was gone to "Long". she was also the center of attention. till she quite after this happened.
