It's basically about a diverse group of high school students all brought together one Saturday morning for detention. The group consists of a jock, a daddy's girl, an outcast, a rebel and a geek. Throughout the movie they come to find that although they're all individually so different and come from different backrounds that they have more in common then they thought. It proves to be both a growing and learning experience for all. It's a good movie....definitely an 80's classic!
