seriously.. you want a fast car that will **** up all those imports for wayyyyy cheaper get yourself a 96-98 cobra or an 88-92 mustang LX 5.0 (87 no Mass air and 93 power decrease). those right there are your best bets for the cheapest. 94-98 GT's are pretty pathetic. sure theyll wipe out all your non turbo imports liek nothing but they suck. dont get me wrong.. u can make basically any mustang run 10's with the right transmission, forged internals and a big blower. as for imports... the wrx may be the best bet... still though... not enough potential. youll be stuck in the 12's with over 5k invested. seriously imports are not where it's at for speed.

SVT has a point, you will get more performance for your dollar if you get a mustang.

But what do you really want?

A: a car that is fast, but ugly and unreliable (the ugly part is just my opinion).

B: a car that will cost much more to make fast, but looks great (fact - j/k), is extrememly reliable, gets great gass milage.

Its your choice, and you should do what you want, not what others say to get.
