I'd think of it as being a bigger deal to turn it off before turning the car ON. It's pretty bad for a compressor to go from 0 RPM to 2000 RPM in a few milliseconds. When the compressor clutch kicks in it takes longer than that to engage and is a little smoother on the compressor.
Equally it could possibly be bad for the compressor to go from idle to 0 in such a short time as well. b |
