Ok this site is starting to disappoint me. It just seems so dead. Plus the fact that a lot of the stuff doesn't work. I remember when we had a homepage, that's gone. Better yet try clicking on the links at the top of the page where it says "site menu"....

So i think we need to come up with some ideas to attract some new members. HST is a great place, and i love the fact that we know eachother on a personal basis but we really need some more people here. Hell on average there's about 3 new posts per day, and guess which forum they're usually in....

Over at HMT the place is just booming, or even H-T for that matter. So i don't see why we can't attract new members.

Could we possibly donate money or something? I recently donated $10 to HMT just out of courteousy, and it adds up quick. They've raised over 1,400 in donations. Possibly something like that could help to make the site better. Maybe we could do some sort of advertisement. And it'd be nice to finally clear up who is running this place.

Not trying to rant, just want to make a great thing better.

yea, kalvin is the admin last i heard. he does check this once in a blue moom.

stefan is the next in line. he has more right most of us.

yea the site has a lot of broken links ect. the main page was takin down due to it never being update and lose of articles.

yeah that's what i had figured. Well you guys have any ideas? I'd donate money or try to find some articles to contribute or come up with some other ideas.

a 100$ give away for anyone on the site thats A.) active during the contest (say 3month long buildup to the give away) B.)has more than 100posts

and turn off posts for the Off topic section

or something like that, and advertise it.

^not a bad idea. but who the fuck has 100 to give away. we still need to delete user names. so the new users have a better selection of names.

fix the damn links.
change banner.
and pay to advertise.

i can and will help in any way possible and even help pay for whatever. even tho i got JEWED in the last HST idea.

yeah good ideas! contests. And another thing that irritates me is the fact that we have 7K registered members, and the ammount that post here is actually about 30.

thats why i dont beleive anyone would donate money. someone would run off with it instead of using towards are goal.

Jesus, Joseph, and doggiestyle Mary. Maybe...just maybe...we'd attract more new members if every other post wasn't some current member shit-listing the board. Seriously, if you went to another BBS and saw people bitching and whining about how dead the board was, would it make you wanna join? You really wanna make a change? Get ahold of Kalvin or Stefan, run the idea past them since I'm sure you'll need their ok anyway, get particulars (i.e. how much it would take to do it if it's an upgrade, who'd do design work if it's a banner, etc.), then bring the idea here. I'm sure anyone who can help will. Hell, if it's money we need, I got $10 you can have right now. I really don't think donating to the site via Kalvin or Stefan will turn out like the Greek tragedy that the gift exchange was.

I'll stay here either way so I honestly don't care what happens or how it happens. But hey, if you need my help with something, I'm on board.
