Damn you PAT, for locking up the gmail thread. I was wanting to ask what "gmail" is. I thought you were talking about like, hotmail but you had to be invited to join. Am i close?

Yeah...Gmail is a lot like a Hotmail account but it stores a full gig of messages. WAAAAY more than a Hotmail account. I've got an account that I never use. Go figure.

But thanks for the explanation, that damn closed thread that PAT started was drivin' me nuts!! To top it off, the darn (darn, not damn) mods got to respond even after it was closed.

Yeah...I always thought the "invite only" thing sounded snobby. It's free, though. The only problem is I don't think you can (at least last I checked) connect it like a POP3 account where you could check it with Outlook.

I'm pretty sure that it's available w/o an invite now... if not I have like 20 invites if anyone wants an account...

You can setup POP its under the gmail settings.

Yup, under mail settings there is a Forwarding and POP tab. All of the options are under there.
